JUNA
Juna is a group of young university students and professionals from families who have been able to provide us with opportunities. It was founded in 2017 and has evolved over time. Initially, we sought to travel to World Youth Day (WYD) Panama 2019. Later, in 2020, in the context of the pandemic, we partnered with YLDC as mentors for the students who participated in that project. Through Juna, we supported them in their search for opportunities to access higher education, which made us more aware of other realities in our country.
Juna's main objective is to develop Fondacio's spirituality in its three aspects:
1. Being for myself: we work on spiritual growth, on personal development, we encourage young people to empower themselves, by giving themselves time during the week to connect with their inner selves, listen to themselves and find peace.
2. Being with others: we are a community in which we allow ourselves to speak without fear of being judged, we feel welcomed and often we identify with what other people share, which helps us not to feel alone.
3. Being for others: we seek to serve in the communities where the two social projects of Fondacio Colombia are located, which allows us to know the problems of our country more closely and invites us to be more sensitive to the needs of other people.
Ultimately, Juna is a group of friends who have decided to grow and walk through life together.
