Young Lives Potosí by Fondacio
FROM IDEA TO ACTION
YLDC Potosí emerged in a context of vulnerability and economic and social barriers that limited young people’s opportunities. In 2019, a population study was conducted to understand their needs, and in 2020, the Young Lives Development Center (YLDC) programs were launched.
Since then, the project has sought to empower young people, including migrants, to access higher education, employment, or entrepreneurship opportunities by developing personal, social, and professional skills.
Its approach promotes youth leadership, peacebuilding, inclusion, social justice, and care for our common home, encouraging young people to transform both their own lives and their community.

OSO Schools
Socio-occupational orientation (OSO)
In 2023, we established partnerships with four schools in Potosí. We supported 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students in their socio-professional guidance and decision-making. We conducted self-awareness and educational opportunity workshops in Colombia, providing key tools and strengthening family support.
Socio-occupational guidance for parents (OSOP)
We support mothers, fathers, and caregivers through dialogue and guidance focused on strengthening families and assisting young people in their academic and personal decisions. Through meetings and workshops, we promote listening, trust, and support for their children's life plans.

"I transform myself to transform my world"
This project, funded by Rotary International, aims to empower 700 participants in three areas of Bogotá, helping them to recognize their own limitations, reduce environments of violence, and take charge of their future. In 2026, we will adopt it as a community service program to reach more students in schools.
Spaces to learn, create and grow
Training spaces for young people and adults seeking to learn new skills. We offer English and French courses at the A1 level, promoting learning, personal growth, and new opportunities.
